Getting started with Kiwow
Kiwow helps UK households track maintenance and shared tasks for a home, boat, or car. This guide walks through registration and managing more than one property.
1. Open the app and choose Register
On the home page, scroll to Sign in or register and tap the Register tab. Each field shows a short tip explaining what to enter.
2. Create your first space (new users)
Under Registration mode, choose Create space if you are setting up a new property:
- Enter your full name and email.
- Pick an asset type — Home, Boat, or Car.
- Name the space (e.g. Ward Home, Harbour Queen, Family Car).
- For homes and boats, add an address or marina — type the street or area, then pick a suggestion from the list.
- Optionally fill in property details (registration, insurance, mileage, etc.).
- Choose a password (at least 6 characters) and submit.
3. Join someone else's space
Choose Join space if a family member or skipper already uses Kiwow for that property:
- Enter your name, email, and password.
- Paste the join code they send you (from Members in the app).
- Submit — you will see the same task list as the rest of the space.
4. Multiple homes, boats, or cars
One account can look after several spaces — for example a house and a boat, or two cars:
- Register with whichever property you want to set up first.
- After sign-in, open your profile menu (top of the app).
- Use Add space to create another home, boat, or car with the same account.
- Switch between spaces from the profile menu — each keeps its own tasks, items, and members.
5. Invite family or crew
Once signed in, open Members (household masters only) and create a join code. Share it with anyone who should see that space's tasks. They register with Join space and paste the code.
6. Sign in again later
Kiwow works in the browser as a progressive web app. Use the same email and password on phone, tablet, or desktop. Add to your home screen for quick access.
